Woven from wool and silk by artisans who master ancestral techniques of knotting, weaving, and tufting, the Echo rugs pursue soft, blended graphics and neutral tones that invite contemplation rather than spectacle. Galerie Diurne, long devoted to exceptional artisanal craft, found in Studio KO a partner whose restraint and precision matched its own commitment to objects built to be lived with for generations.
The Edoardo Rug, designed by Studio KO for Galerie Diurne within the Echo collection, carries forward the collection’s dialogue with the great figures of twentieth-century minimalist and conceptual art, its composition built from soft, blended graphics that hover between an abstract landscape and a slow optical vibration. Karl Fournier and Olivier Marty favoured a restrained, neutral palette here, allowing the interplay of texture and light across the pile to do the expressive work rather than colour alone.
Hand-knotted from 80% wool and 20% silk using 200,000 Tibetan knots, the Edoardo Rug is produced by artisans mastering ancestral techniques of knotting, weaving, and tufting. Bespoke dimensions and colours are available on request, and as with every handmade rug in the collection, slight natural variations in size and tone occur from piece to piece.
