Many of Jean-Michel Frank’s most refined pieces were designed with his close collaborator Adolphe Chanaux, the cabinetmaker who helped translate Frank’s spare vision into gouged oak, rattan and straw marquetry. Ecart International, founded by designer Andrée Putman to rescue such overlooked modernist masters, still re-edits their work from the original archives.

This 1925 chair shares the same wooden structure and split-peel rattan weave, with an optional cushion in Ecart fabric.
