At La Chance, every collection starts as a conversation. Louise Breguet, an architect, and Jean-Baptiste Souletie, a former banker turned furniture editor, launched the Paris house with a clear ambition: to give contemporary designers a stage for sculptural, colour-driven furniture built the old way, by European hands. Their rue de Richelieu studio and gallery remain the meeting point for an ever-growing family of collaborators, from Note Design Studio to Jonah Takagi, all working in solid marble, hardwood and hand-finished metal.
This pair of Planet chairs by Jean-Baptiste Souletie is upholstered in Lelièvre’s Smart fabric in a soft pin tone, set on a steel structure with a backrest in solid black-stained ash, the metal and wood giving the chair a lighter frame than its rounded seat suggests. A version without fabric, left in raw steel and black ash, is also available.
La Chance is a Paris based design company producing furniture, lighting, accessories, rugs and wallpaper with a strong and distinctive style.
