The result of a collaboration with French artist Côme Clérino—ceramist, painter, and sculptor—the Stella lamp from Laclaux combines precise craftsmanship with the expressive freedom of material. Its sculptural base in spray-glazed ceramic forms a hollow loop that is both fluid and dense, animated by a soft gradient of tones in the coloured versions.
The lamp’s rounded shape evokes the accretion disk, a celestial phenomenon in which dust and gas rotate around a star, forming a glowing ring. The glaze, applied in a gradual halo, enhances this sense of contained light in constant motion. Both functional and ornamental, Stella belongs to the tradition of French decorative arts, where light converses with material, and function merges with form.
