The Peristyle Console by Leo Sentou revisits an oval gueridon devised by master cabinetmaker Jean-Pierre Dusautoy and translates its refined proportions into a piece for the modern entrance hall, an exercise in disciplined craftsmanship rather than ornament.
Crafted in solid oak with a top in tulipwood lacquered wood, or alternatively a lacquered wood structure with an oak top, the Peristyle Console is fully handcrafted with bespoke dimensions, finishes and tabletops available on request. Its most striking detail is the subtle contrast between matte oak and glossy lacquer, a dialogue between structure and surface built into every joint.
Trained at the ENSAAMA Olivier de Serres School in Paris before moving to London to take a master’s degree at Central Saint Martins, Leo Sentou works on high end residential and hospitality projects honing his skills and sense for detail, whilst growing a strong passion for beautiful finishes. In 2021, Leo launched his first furniture line that encapsulates his love for noble materials and exceptional craftmanship.
