Studioformart is a marble atelier in Carrara founded by brothers Andrea and Simone Dell’Amico, a reference point for marble craftsmanship in the city.
Serving, in Studioformart’s view, is a refined art, and the Vasco Tray for Mmairo was designed to move fluidly between roles, reading at once as a sculpture, a vessel and a serving platter. Its silhouette carries a sense of restless ambition that the Carrara studio compares to the most daring seafarers, an object whose gaze, as they put it, stays firmly fixed on the next adventure rather than settling into a single, static function.
Shaped from White Bianco Carrara marble and given the same smooth, hand-finished surface found throughout Studioformart’s work for Mmairo, the Vasco Tray’s generous volume lets its natural veining unfold across a larger, more sculptural expanse of stone than smaller pieces in the collection allow. Extracted and finished entirely within Mmairo’s own Carrara workshops, each tray keeps the singular character of its block, so no two pieces of Vasco read quite the same.
