The Silvio dining table by Philippe Hurel is a successful combination of lightness and strength, epitomizing fine craftsmanship. Its taut lines and solid shape enhance the striking contrast and clever interplay of textures and materials. The base, cast in brass with the rough appearance of granite concrete, complements the brilliance of the Ziricote top—a precious species dear to luthiers—whose black veins create a landscape of beauty through undulations and overlaps. Between the two, the turned barrel is lacquered in a deep black.
