Victoria Magniant designed the Daiku Console M from her Paris studio, where she pairs French cabinetmakers and glassblowers with an eye trained on sculptors like Noguchi and Hepworth. For Magniant, choosing a material is also a way of defending a culture, a skill and an ethic of craftsmanship.
Made from solid natural oak here, and offered as well in walnut, tinted ash, or in a smaller S size, the Daiku Console M carries the collection’s calligraphic staining onto a larger, more architectural silhouette, its surface built up in translucent layers so the wood’s own figure never disappears beneath the finish.
Victoria Magniant, is a multidisciplinary designer based in Paris. Her approach is marked by a refined and poetic aesthetic, which reveals the intrinsic beauty of the material. Inspired by Brancusi, Noguchi and Sanaa, she nurtures a subtle dialogue between cultures and eras. Her work is introspective, functional, and deeply sculptural.
