The Manufacture de Tapis de Bourgogne has been weaving rugs in its Burgundy workshops since 1958, building a reputation among the world’s most demanding interior architects for its command of hand-knotting, hand-weaving and hand-tufting alike. Awarded the Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant distinction for living heritage, its artisans transform wool, silk, bamboo and raffia into rugs whose textures and patterns keep the visible imprint of the human hand.

Boom Rug 2 reworks the original Boom pattern into a richer ground of wool, bamboo, linen and raffia, its graphic motif still traced in silk but now set against a more textured, multi-fibre base hand-tufted by the Manufacture de Tapis de Bourgogne. A monochrome wool-and-bamboo version strips the design back to pure texture, letting Bismut & Bismut’s signature restraint show through in a single tone, proof that the brothers’ ‘jewel box’ sensibility works as well in whisper as in contrast.

Each rug is handcrafted by skilled artisans who master ancestral techniques such as hand knotting, weaving, and tufting. Due to its handmade nature, there may be slight variations in size and colour, and the patterns may adjust proportionally when the rug is scaled to different sizes. Colours are subject to sample approval and colours shown may vary with lighting and environment.
