The Glow 2 Kaia Ceiling Lamp by Sophie Dries is part of a collection of lighting fixtures inspired by the remarkable Inner Glow Chandelier. This new iteration sees Inner Glow’s grandeur distilled into a more compact form suitable for the contemporary home. The designers’ choice of paper draws from the papier-mâché́ process that lends the pieces a raw, textural, stone-like quality.
Before founding Kaia in 2013, Manuela Szewald worked as a tax lawyer for a financial institution in Frankfurt and London. It’s in 2010, whilst refurbishing her family’s holiday home – a hamlet of 300-year-old farmhouses- that she rediscovered her deep passion for interior design and the preservation of traditional craftsmanship.
