Vis-À-Vis Paris was founded as a haute-couture linen house, dedicated to hand-embroidered household linens made with the patience and precision of couture ateliers. Relaunched under Véronique Taittinger, the maison kept its in-house embroidery workshops at the heart of every piece it produces.
The Cactus Placemat & Napkin set translates a spare, graphic silhouette into hand embroidery on 100% Belgian linen, the ateliers of Vis-À-Vis Paris building up the plant’s silhouette in sublime, layered colour shades rather than a single flat green. It brings a sun-warmed, botanical note to the table, in keeping with the maison’s habit of finding embroidery-worthy motifs in even the most unexpected corners of nature.
