The Pulse Armchair by Joëlle Rigal was designed as a massive yet supple and lightweight object. A cloud of comfort. In the same way a brush stroke surrounds a watercolor splash in art, the wood encircles and supports the foam. It guides this supple and vibrant moving object. The bellow-like shape is an undulating wave to sink into. The seam lines give structure to the thick, luxurious and appealing velvet, revealing curves that are emphasized by a play of light. This low armchair embodies Mercoeur Edition’s vision, brought to life in partnership with Tapisserie Seigneur. Traces of the historical presence of furniture artisans still remain in the 11th district of Paris. Tapisserie Seigneur is a guardian of this tradition.
