The Tiny Table One carries the maker’s mark of Studio Floris Wubben, who has spent over a decade re-engineering industrial extrusion machines by hand in his Haarlem workshop, then lets them behave unpredictably, treating each pull of clay or resin as a negotiation between human intention and mechanical chance.

Part of the Killing My Darlings collection, the Tiny Table One begins life as a fully realised extrusion before Wubben starts cutting into it, slicing away sections of glazed stoneware until an entirely new silhouette is revealed. Shown here in a soft mint H24, with speckled peach L13 and silver-bronze L02 as alternatives, its diminutive scale belies the amount of removal, the studio’s term for its own controlled act of destruction, that went into shaping it.
