For Mmairo, Ivan Colominas designs across scales, from tabletop objects to full furniture pieces, consistently returning to a belief that marble should feel sculptural yet entirely useful, never merely decorative.
The Altana Small Table condenses Ivan Colominas’s Renaissance-terrace concept for Mmairo into its most compact form, a low, round table whose continuous curve still carries the sense of a rooftop lookout with no beginning or end. At this scale, the design reads almost as a side table sculpture, small enough to place an object on its surface and let that object, as Colominas puts it, survey the room around it.
Pictured here in Rosso Alicante marble, the Altana Small Table is also available in black marble and in travertine, made to bespoke dimensions and finishes at Mmairo’s own Carrara workshops. The Rosso Alicante’s warm, richly veined surface gives this smallest Altana a jewel-like density, a striking contrast to the pale travertine and deep black marble alternatives within the same collection.
