Piatto Piano #3 Plate

Add to Wishlist

Ivan Colominas is a Spanish industrial designer whose work has earned six Red Dot Awards, a track record that led the Carrara marble house Mmairo, which controls extraction through manufacture entirely in-house, to entrust him with several of its signature collections.

Piatto Piano #3 scales down the same sculptural language Ivan Colominas developed for Mmairo’s Piatto Piano service, becoming the smaller plate within a set inspired by Angelo Mangiarotti’s soft, well-defined lines. Bright white and multi-fold, it exalts the shape and structure of the objects that frame one of our greatest pleasures, food, proving that Colominas’s design logic holds just as well at a reduced scale.

Offered in Bianco Michelangelo, Bianco Carrara or Nero Marquinia marble with a smooth finish, Piatto Piano #3 shares its larger sibling’s folded profile, so the two plates can be layered together at the table without breaking the service’s visual rhythm. Made within Mmairo’s fully in-house Carrara production, the smaller plate carries the same clean, precise edges regardless of which marble is selected.
