Certificate of authenticity
Olivier Garcé and Clio Dimofski opened Garcé & Dimofski’s studio and gallery in a 19th-century Pombaline building in Lisbon. They bring a rigorous, architectural eye to furniture that never strays far from the earth it comes from — chestnut, walnut, pine and clay, shaped by hand with Portuguese craftsmen who have spent lifetimes mastering their materials.
The Cloud cushion is finished with a button gouged from solid oak rather than a stitched detail, a small handmade touch at its centre, and is shown upholstered in Pierre Frey’s Yeti fabric in coton, quinoa and a deep encre. Because the wood button is carved individually, no two cushions will carry an identical grain at their centre.
